I cannot even download an antivirus, even when it is one linked on windows' page.  I get the message "you must have admin rights to this program".  I have two laptops running side by side to search and have tried almost everything listed for the past week
and a half.  I have the admin password but cannot use this account online.  My laptop came already loaded with windows 7 and i have no disc.

I have a minidump I need some help interpreting.  It can be found here

I am running Win7 Pro 32 bit dual boot with XP.  I have not installed any new devices or applications.  I have checked Windows update to make sure I am up to date in fixes and drivers. I have only gotten this blue screen dump once but not only do I want
to be prepared in case I get it again, I also want to understand more about how to interpret these dumps.  I like to learn these things for myself rather than having to depend on nice folks like you all the time to bail me out. I've tried to do some reading
but I must admit I think it is a little over my head.
I am confused if I need to use Dumpchk.exe,  the WinDbg tool , or KD.exe tool.  Do all of these tools do the same thing or do I need them all?  Will the same tool debug XP dumps as well as Win7 ones?  This
particular blue screen was in Windows 7.
Thanks for any insight you might give me.

Tech Support: burning dvd"s

burning dvd"s

Bought my computer several years ago and added a second dvd burner.
Til recently it has always worked fine, but now my second drive will reconize a burned disk but will not reconize a blank one.
If I only use the original drive everything works up to the
actual burn process and I get a failed to burn error.

How do I turn off auto-dim on my HP Pavillion?

I've got an HP Pavillion.
 WIndows 7 64-bit.

My screen auto-dims when I go to a dark webpage/picture/screen.
 It occurs while using my laptop.
 If I'm on a bright webpage the screen is at whatever brightness I set it at, however if I go to a dark webpage the screen then automatically dims.
 Then,
if I leave the dark webpage and go to a brighter page the screen goes back to being brighter.
 This all occurs while using the laptop- it's not the auto-dim after X amount of time.
 I want the brightness to stay at whatever I have it set at.
 I've tried control
panel display settings, device manager settings, and searching around for a fix but can't find one.
 How can I stop it from dimming?
