Can`t uninstall Canon drivers in windows 8.1
Hi.
I have a lenovo Thinkcentre desktop with Windows 8.1.
I need to install a multifunction canon image runner 1023 i-F.
I found in canon web site the drivers to do it.
When I start the installation the installer stops with this message: "One or more printer
drivers are in use Restart the computer and try again".
I did so with the same system response. Actions done:
1.
Take a look through control panel to look for any printer installed.
Result: There is no printer installed.
2.
I checked in adding programs to see if there was any driver installed.
Result: There was no printer driver showed.
3.
Try to install the printer via USB connection.
I could install the device (printer) but I couldn`t update the driver.
Result: Same error as mentioned before.
4.
Unplugged the computer from the network and try to install the canon software.
Result: Same error mentioned before.
5.
I used the troubleshooting Windows software to test the printer connection.
Result: It didn`t find any problema.
6.
I called to canon to find some tool to fix the inconvinience.
There is no tool for that.
7.
I tried to use Microsoft Fix it for Windows 8.1.
Result: After installing I get the following message: "We are sorry but the program encountered an error trying to contact the server (code: 80004FE2C).
I did it again but no luck either.
8.
Called Microsoft support line: After reviewing all things done, suggested to write here so.....here I am looking for some extra help on solving this.
P.S.
If I open Microsoft office I can see 3 canon printers with no connection waiting to delete files in each one.
This is what it is holding me from installing the new computer.
The question is ¿how can I delete or empty this devices if I can`t see them
anywhere?
