How do I stop the "Would you like to make Internet Explorer your default browswer?' message?
In English, without resorting to terms like "regedit" or "32-bit or 64-bit" or "add-ons", can anyone tell me how to rid myself permanently of that "information bar" that absolutely will NOT leave me alone, ever?
There is never the answer I want, "NO! Now go away FOREVER and leave me alone!"
No, the next time I open a window, or breathe or blink, there it is again, asking me another question I never even cared to ask.
It takes, "Do you want fries with that?" to a whole new level of homicidal-rage inducing annoyance.
For the complete PC-tards out there: NO THIS IS NOT A CALL TO VIOLENCE. I would like to kill one thing however: that damned yellow "information bar".
NOTE: DO NOT send me friendly, helpful, do-gooder nanny advice about the perils that await me if I murder this incessant nannying nuisance.

Hit the cog icon in the top right of the screen, then choose "Internet Options". A screen will appear:-
Go to the "Programs" tab, and then un-tick "tell me IE is not the default web browser".
Click "OK"
