Troubleshoot:Document revisions not printed

Document revisions not printed

Hi,
We've recently installed Office 2007 and we have 2 users complaining of the same behavior.
When they revise a document and print it it's the original document that's printed. It may be coincidental but both users were revising the contents of a template.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Am I asking in the right place? If not please point me in the right direction.
If it's been asked and answered - I apologize that I didn't find that on my own and would appreciate it if you'd point me in the right
direction for that as well
Cheers
Anne

I don't know if this will help but:
Print a document with tracked changes and comments showing
Before you print the document, switch to Print Layout view (Print Layout view: A view of a document or other object as it will appear when you print it.
For example, items such as headers, footnotes, columns, and text boxes appear in their actual
positions.) and display thetracked changes (tracked change: A mark that shows where a deletion, insertion, or other editing change has been made in a document.) andcomments (comment: A note or annotation
that an author or reviewer adds to a document.
Microsoft Word displays the comment in a balloon in the margin of the document or in the Reviewing Pane.) the way that you want them to appear in the printed document.
You have several options.
Print showing all markup    On the Review tab, in the
Tracking group, click Show Markup.
Note   Clicking Show Markup displays or hides allmarkup (markup: Comments and tracked changes such as insertions, deletions, and formatting changes.
View markup when you want to process tracked changes and comments.
Print a document with markup to keep a record of changes made to a document.) in the document for selected reviewers.
When you display all markup, all types of markup are selected on theShow Markup menu.
Print showing changes and comments by type or reviewer    On theReview tab, in the
Tracking group, click Show Markup, and then select the type of change that you want to display.

Print changes and comments for an editor or other reviewer    On theReview tab, in the
Tracking group, in the Display for Review box, click
Final Showing Markup.

When the markup appears the way that you want it to, you are ready to print the document.
Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then clickPrint.

In the Print dialog box, in the Print what box, click
Document showing markup, and then click OK.

 Notes
By default, Microsoft Word chooses the zoom level and page orientation to best display the tracked changes in your printed document. If balloons (balloons: In print layout view or Web layout view, markup balloons show markup elements, such as comments and tracked changes, in the margins of your document.
Use these balloons to easily see and respond to reviewers' changes and
comments.) are turned on, the document will shrink to fit the balloons on the printed page.
To make your printed page readable, you can turn off balloons by clickingBalloons in the
Tracking group and then clickingShow all revisions inline.
You can also set the page layout to landscape to print the balloons and the text in a more readable format.
On thePage Layout tab, under
Page Setup, click Orientation, and then click
Landscape.

Manually editing the Windows registry

Caution: Unless you an advanced PC user, please do not edit the Windows registry manually.

Because of this risk, we highly recommend using a trusted registry cleaner such as SmartPCFixer Using a registry cleaner automates the process of finding invalid registry entries, missing file references (like the one causing your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION error), and broken links within the registry. A backup is automatically created before each scan, with the ability to undo any changes in a single click, protecting you against the possibility of PC damage. The best part is that repairing registry errors can also dramatically improve system speed and performance.

  • Click the Start button.
  • Type "command" in the search box... DO NOT hit ENTER yet!
  • While holding CTRL-Shift on your keyboard, hit ENTER.
  • You will be prompted with a permission dialog box.
  • Click Yes.
  • A black box will open with a blinking cursor.
  • Type "regedit" and hit ENTER.
  • In the Registry Editor, select the Error 0x9C-related key (eg. Windows Operating System) you want to back up.
  • From the File menu, choose Export.
  • In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save the Windows Operating System backup key.
  • In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".
  • In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.
  • Click Save.
  • The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
  • You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.

The next steps in manually editing your registry will not be discussed in this article due to the high risk of damaging your system. If you would like to learn more about manual registry editing, please see the links below.
