Map failure has to do with emailing written documents.  Nothing to do with real maps.  It is something to do with the writing.  Seem writing has really gotten complicated.  Don Ballew

It's not MAP 1 but MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface).
You can't email from within Word unless you have a MAPI-compliant mail client.
That means (usually) Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Microsoft Exchange, or the like.
You can't send
from within Word if you use a Web-based mail client such as Yahoo, Gmail, or Hotmail (now, I think, Outlook Online).
You can attach saved Word documents to messages directly in those mail clients, however.

Tweak IE Options

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Go to "Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab".
• Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".
• Click "Apply".
  
• Reboot your computer.
