Advanced Tab is Blank
I recently installed IE8.
The "advanced" tab under internet options is blank.
When I try to "Restore advanced settings" an error message appears.
This was discovered while trying to "install Active-x" and realized that the option is not available.

can I fix it?

This could also be caused by an incomplete installation of Internet Explorer 8.
You can try uninstalling Internet Explorer 8 (this will revert you back to Internet Explorer 6 or 7 whichever you had before the update).
