Essentials 2011 & 2012 Calender will not sync with pc

Windows essentials Calender syncs fine with my W8 computer but will not sync with W7 computer - although it was doing so a few weeks ago.
 I have now uninstalled Essentials 2011 from the latter & upgraded to Essentials 2012 but with same failure.
 On control
panel, I have removed the WIndowsLliveID & later re-connected it - again no success.
 Everything else seems to be working OK.
